These courses give more time to deepen our understanding and experience of specific subjects and meditations.

There is time for several meditations, teachings,questions and discussions.

Refreshments will be provided and there will be the chance to chat to other local meditators in the breaks.

Would you like to know more about how meditation can be used in the grieving process?

When we still our mind in meditation, we have the space to allow healing to take place naturally. Grieving for the people and things we’ve lost, or didn’t get in our life and anything else precious that we grieve for. The course will help you to create a healing safe space within yourself through meditation practice.

Sometimes we don’t realise that we’re grieving. Aspects of grieving can manifest on their own, for example physical pain, lethargy and anger. We can learn to spot this and thereby bring more patience and acceptance to the situation.

Our grieving process can sometime “get stuck” This will be discussed too in the context of meditation methods.

There will time to meditate, to reflect, to sit, to walk in the local countryside, to have a cup of tea and a chat, to discuss the many aspects of grieving.

 23rd July 16  9:30 – 11  £12.00  Mindful Anger – Finding stillness in the eye of the storm.

A chance to learn meditation techniques to reduce anger.

We can easily be afraid of the power and potential that reside within our anger. Mindfulness of anger is a very powerful and liberating practice.

Among these techniques, I’ll also teach other meditations such as the emptiness of anger. This is a profound way to transform our anger into an experience of deep peace and wisdom.

These zen meditations are beautifully simple. They allow us to dwell in the richness of the present moment and enjoy the intricacy and subtlety of our surroundings as we give them our full attention.

Bringing Peace to the Past

– Putting Pieces Together

 I will be running this workshop with Jackie Beaver who is an Expressive Art Therapist.

Numbers are limited so please book early.

An experiential workshop combining mindfulness meditation and expressive art making

Participants will have the opportunity to explore memories, feelings and ideas using a variety of art materials and image making processes, in a non- judgmental and supportive environment.

When words are not enough, art making offers us another perspective, a different and sometimes more spontaneous way to express and explore our inner world. Art making is about imaginative self-expression, the experiencing and nurturing of creativity.

Creativity is a source of well-being, which can enhance our capacity to respond to the world around us. Creative expression is available to anyone. You don’t need to be ‘good at art’ or have any specific art skills.

Join us, for a morning of mindful creativity!
